WHAT IS MSM?

MSM is a substance found in animals, humans, and a variety of plants. It is most commonly used to treat arthritis. MSM is made in a lab and is occasionally coupled with other supplements like glucosamine and chondroitin.

MSM, or methylsulfonylmethane, is a popular dietary supplement that is used to treat a variety of symptoms and illnesses. It's a sulfur-based molecule that can be found in plants, animals, and humans. It can also be made in a lab to make powdered or capsuled dietary supplements.

MSM was extensively studied from the mid-1950s to the 1970s for its unique biological properties. These included membrane penetrability with and without the co-transport of other agents, antioxidant properties, anti-inflammatory effects, anticholinesterase activity, and the ability to induce histamine release from mast cells.
